Mr. Morrison then jumped to KLLY FM Bakersfield, CA, joining KBPK alumnus Jason Griffin. Rod was the fulltime night slammer on "Kelly
95.3" after it flipped to Pop Alternative.
Making his way back down the Grapevine, Rod joined the staff of KEZY Anaheim, CA as the Promotions Coordinator and a weekend air
personality. After the sale of the station and the change to "Mix 95.9", he was the Production Director and did weekends. Rod left Orange County for Albuquerque, NM in 1999 for KMMG FM. There
he did Middays and was the Production Director for American General Media's Albuquerque radio cluster. Rod even did Morning Drive on their Spanish station (aka Ricky Del Rio). "I feel that the
radio program at Fullerton College has helped me in my different jobs in radio." Rod said, "It has helped me develop my commitment to excellence. The classes are close to what you experience in
the real world."
Rod is back in Southern California doing voice work and production as the owner/operator of RMOnAir Voice Productions. He is also doing
voice work for KATY Idyllwild/Riverside, and will do a weekend shift at the Hot AC station.
UPDATE!
Rod is now an AE (account executive) for All Pro Radio's cluster of stations in the Riverside-San Bernardino market (X103.9, KATY FM, and KCKC AM) and he is the full-time night personality on KATY FM. He's busy.
